53/100 - Elephant Crossing

This mixed media painting - Gelli plate background, mulberry paper collage and acrylics - started life as a layering experiment.  I loved the distance the gel plate strips created and as I was using a limited palette of a warm light orange and a sky blue only with black and white, there wasn't any other animal other than an elephant that could fill that space!
